My molecular cell biology exam notes were the first set of FULLY ILLUSTRATED molecular cell biology exam notes here at this medical school. To my knowledge, they were also the first set of fully illustrated exam notes in ANY subject here at this medical school. The illustrations started out as a measure to save words, but ended up as a full time job consuming both day and night in the remainder of the first semester. I still think it's cute to walk through the library and see my own visual interpretations of a biological process in somebody else's notes.
This set of exam notes was not my primary focus during my first year here at this medical school. However, it was probably the set of exam notes that showed me that I had the capability to extend the scope of my studies beyond myself and produce a final result that ANYBODY could use. This finally resulted in me writing exam notes in virtually all major subjects during my entire pre-clinical studies.
